Rory McIlroy is the "real" World No.1 golfer, according to GolfMagic Readers
Scottie Scheffler is the official World No.1, but GolfMagic Readers believe it should be Rory McIlroy.
LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman took to social media on Sunday night to explain how Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson are the "two best players in the world" right now. Only GolfMagic Readers think it is Rory McIlroy.
As things stand, LIV Golf Tour events are shut out from receiving Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points.
It is understood that LIV Golf could indeed be waiting until 2024 before any decision is reached, and that is clearly a big frustration for Norman who is still awaiting for his application to be approved by officials.
Masters champion Scottie Scheffler (9.79) is the official World No.1 following four wins on the PGA Tour in 2022, closely followed by Rory McIlroy (9.11), who recently captured a record third FedEx Cup title.
Smith (9.01) has since slipped from second to third since signing for LIV Golf earlier this month, while Johnson (3.33), who has been with LIV Golf from the very start in June, has slid all the way down to 23rd.
But in the eyes of Norman, there is no doubt who the best two players in the world really are following the latest wins by his poster boys Dustin Johnson (Boston) and Cameron Smith (Chicago).

"Who's questioning the real #1 and #2 in the world?" wrote Norman on his caption to a post of Smith holding the trophy in Chicago.
"On top of that they are happy. Their families are happy. Their wives are happy. Their caddies are happy.
"The #LIVGolf team is a family. Everyone is in this together. This has never happened on the PGA Tour.
"As Cam Smith has said, we have given golf a heartbeat.
"The fans hold us all accountable. They are holding the PGA Tour accountable. They are holding the OWGR accountable.
"How can the OWGR ignore the fact that the two best players in the world - Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson - play on the LIV Golf Tour?
"When the fans speak, listen. Golf is a force for good."
