Need To Know
Just a few weeks ago, Alex from GolfMagic was custom fitted for a set of Titleist Vokey SM9 wedges and in our latest review, he puts them to the test on the golf course.
The Titleist Vokey SM9 is the famous company's new iteration and Alex reveals that they have instilled confidence in his wedge game and after his custom fit session, they were suitable for his swing.
With the Vokey model, which is regarded as the best wedge model in the game, Titleist uses tour and amateur feedback to make subtle refinements each time.
The SM9 wedge has an optimised low CG which creates a lower ball flight. Many players such as Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas deliberately hit low wedge shots in order to maximise spin control.
Alex has found that since being fitted for the new SM9 wedges, his ball-striking has improved and this is a key improvement that Titleist makes each time they renew the Vokey model.

These wedges excel in forgiveness and once again, if you go through the custom fitting process, this will help to narrow down the dispersion of your bad shots.
The Vokey SM9 wedges offer every type of golfer a professional flight and an amazing feel. Feel is an important part of every club that you buy.
If you are 60 or 70 yards out from the green, these wedges offer a one-hop-and-stop style of shot which means you can relate to the professionals, even if you play with a high handicap.
Custom fitting sessions also give you the chance to adjust the grind and bounce of your wedges. This will help your short chips from about 10 or 15 yards from the green.
If you have the correct bounce and grind on your new Vokey wedge, you will be confident in your ability to hit a solid chip every time, as they are also very forgiving wedges too.
