Our score:
PRICE: £111.00 YEAR: from 2013

The Versa #9 Black has a toe-weighted, heel-shafted, flanged blade with a long hosel and half-shaft offset.

Versa #9 is somewhat in between a classic blade and a mallet. Offering the manoeuvrability of a blade and the stability of a mallet, Odyssey have produced an absolute gem.

A simple two-tone appearance gives it a classy look and it can be bought with white or black dominating the colour scheme depending on the customers preference.

The putter has a soft feel thanks to the White Hot insert and we found it produced a very consistent role. It also has a nice sound when you hit the ball.

Performance-wise we found that from all ranges the Versa #9 was outstanding. Inside ten-feet it was easy to align and, although it was soft off the face, we didn't feel we had to swing the club too hard to get the ball rolling.

From outide 20-feet we could judge distances easily thanks to the impressive feel.

Odyssey has done what they do best and made a world-class putter.

Compared to many of the company's flat sticks, this one is relatively simple and it should appeal to blade and mallet lovers alike.

A two-tone appearance works well, and the soft and consistent feel combined with the effective alignment aid sees a top-of-the-range putter on the market.
