Despite having a rich history, the Australian Open on the DP World Tour carries one of the smaller purses for the new season.
Held at the Australian Golf Club and The Lakes, players will be competing for a total purse of $1.7m AUD.
That means the eventual winner on 3 December will walk away with $270,000.
The prize money for the 2023 ISPS HANDA Australian Open is exactly the same as 2022, which was won by Adrian Meronk.
A number of high-profile Australian golfers are also in the field, such as Cameron Smith, Adam Scott and Min Woo Lee.
The majority of golf's elite names are in Albany, playing in Tiger Woods' Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.
