DP World Tour star makes PGA Tour ambition crystal clear amid LIV Golf links
DP World Tour pro Angel Ayora admits he will definitely take up a PGA Tour card if he receives one, despite rumours linking him with a move to LIV Golf in 2026.
DP World Tour star Angel Ayora has declared a fighting ambition to earn a PGA Tour card for next season - despite rumours linking him with a move to join LIV Golf in 2026.
Ayora, who has just turned 21 years old, recorded a fourth top-10 finish in his last six starts on the DP World Tour following a T9 on home soil at the Open de Espana.
The Spanish rookie is being tipped for a huge career in the sport, and he has rightly caught the attention of those on the Saudi bankrolled LIV Golf League for a move next season.
But when pressed for comment on recent LIV Golf speculation following his latest performance, Ayora admitted he was fully focused on locking up one of the 10 PGA Tour cards on offer for unexempt DP World Tour players next month.

Ayora's seventh top-10 finish of the season on Sunday nudges him up four spots to 23rd in the DP World Tour Rankings, and to within some 460 points of the final PGA Tour card, currently held by France's Martin Couvra.
He's also now up to a career-best world ranking of 146th.
With four more events of the DP World Tour season remaining, including next month's season-ending Playoffs, Ayora is ready to keep his foot on the gas in order to achieve his PGA Tour dream.
"I'm very proud to have been able to play like this," Ayora told a pool of Spanish reporters including Marca at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, Madrid.
"Now I'm going to keep fighting for one of those 10 spots that give me a ticket to the PGA Tour.
"If I get it, of course I'll go play there, even if it means swimming."

Ayora then took to his Instagram to thank the home fans for coming out to support him on his national Open debut.
"Thank you Madrid," wrote Ayora, in a message we have translated into English.
"Playing the Spanish Open at home has been an unforgettable experience.
"Feeling the support of so many people throughout the week has given me a special energy.
"Thanks to everyone who came, to the organizers, and to everyone who makes it possible for this tournament to continue growing every year.
"Team, I think we're on the right track. Keep dreaming."
Last season Tom McKibbin, once mentored by Rory McIlroy, picked up one of the 10 available PGA Tour cards following the DP World Tour Championship.
The Northern Irishman trudged off the 18th green and received a huge hug and congratulations from McIlroy.
Only several weeks later, McKibbin agreed to join Jon Rahm's Legion XIII on the LIV Golf League - something that irked McIlroy in the process.
It most certainly doesn't sound like Ayora will be following suit.
