Bryson DeChambeau has moved to quash speculation linking him with a shock return to the PGA Tour, insisting reports of talks are “completely untrue” as uncertainty continues to swirl around LIV Golf’s long-term future.

DeChambeau, widely regarded as the biggest superstar on LIV Golf, addressed the rumours in a new interview with Flushing It, following claims he has been sounding out officials at the PGA Tour over a possible comeback.

Earlier this week it was officially confirmed that the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) will no longer fund the LIV Golf League past this season. The update also falls during a period where DeChambeau's multi-year contract on LIV Golf comes to an end.

According to former ESPN host Trey Wingo, representatives for both DeChambeau and Jon Rahm have reached out to the “highest levels of the PGA Tour” regarding a potential return.

But while a lot of outside noise suggests DeChambeau and others will be seeking a route back to the PGA Tour, the Crushers GC captain has now gone on record to shut down the rumours entirely.

In the eyes of DeChambeau, he still has intentions of remaining on LIV Golf in 2027 and beyond.

"It’s completely untrue," DeChambeau told Flushing It of the PGA Tour rumours.

"I’m working as hard as I can to find a solution."

DeChambeau went on to reinforce his commitment to the LIV Golf model and its team-based format, suggesting he remains invested in its future despite the uncertainty surrounding the league.

"I’m committed to making team golf work in the best way possible," added the five-time LIV Golf winner.

"I think there’s a place for it in the ecosystem and I want to continue to grow the game across the world.

"That’s always been our mission and it’s never been more true than now."

The wider context behind the rumours stems from significant instability within LIV Golf.

Earlier this week, it was reported that PIF would withdraw financial backing from the league after the 2026 season.

That development has cast doubt over the futures of several players, with suggestions that as many as 20 LIV golfers could be seeking new playing opportunities from 2027 onwards.

DeChambeau has reportedly been among those linked with discussions over a new contract, although his long-term position remains unclear.

Despite the speculation, he continues to compete for Crushers GC and remains one of LIV’s most marketable and influential figures.

Away from the politics of professional golf, DeChambeau also used his latest interview to highlight his growing commitment to junior golf development in the United States.

He revealed plans for a series of new initiatives aimed at expanding access to the game at grassroots level.

"We’re building a bunch of junior golf events right now and each team is looking to build junior golf academies," he said.

"That’s something that we’ve been working on for almost three or four months now.

"We’re looking to host an event here coming up, probably in the next, I’d say, couple of months, because we want to do something special by the Team Championship.

"There’s definitely some really cool things in the works."

The projects are expected to include junior academies and competitive events linked to LIV teams, forming part of a wider push to expand participation in the sport.

While speculation over a potential PGA Tour return continues to circulate in golf circles, DeChambeau’s comments suggest his immediate focus remains firmly on LIV Golf and his off-course development projects.

With LIV’s financial future still unresolved beyond 2026, however, questions over where the game’s biggest names will compete long-term are unlikely to disappear any time soon.

For now, DeChambeau appears intent on controlling the narrative himself — firmly rejecting rumours while doubling down on his commitment to team golf and grassroots growth.
