With the obvious exception of Manors, Britain doesn't have many upstart golfwear brands making a splash in the industry. FINK Golfwear, however, wants to change that.

The Washington-based brand has come on leaps and bounds since its lowkey launch last year, and now has ambitions of injecting a fresh sense of modern style into the way the UK's everyday golfers dress. What's even better is that it's a father-son duo, Brenden Carr and his son David, behind the project.

The idea for FINK came after the business Brenden built, electrical contractor group Caztec, began sponsoring a local pro golfer.

He then teamed up with his son and a Manchester-based fashion designer to conceptualise, design and a nine-piece debut collection of golf shirts, trousers and accessories, with an emphasis on precision, reliability and quality.

“We didn’t want to simply put another golf clothing brand into the market," says David. "We wanted to create something that had its own identity and represented the standards we believe in."

FINK's design philosophy is clean and modern, with an emphasis on neutral tones, clean patterns and easy wearability. The branding is crisp and sharp, with the best-selling piece, a neat pinstriped polo available in two colours, perfectly summing up the brand's penchant for garments that have a sense of elegant confidence about them..

“Every detail mattered, from the materials and fit to the design and finish. We wanted people to pick up a FINK garment and immediately recognise the quality.”

Barely 6 months since the brand launched its debut collection, FINK has seen incredible success. The initial drop sold out within days, with a global pool of customers that includes Premier League footballers and England cricketers.

“The response has been amazing,” said David. “To see people from the sporting world supporting something we have created together is a huge motivation and shows we are building something people believe in.”

FINK's ambition now is to grow its profile by sponsoring a growing roster of emerging golf talent. You can shop the brand's debut collection now at FINK Golfwear.
