Former World No.1 Martin Kaymer has confirmed LIV Golf qualifying school graduate Kalle Samooja will be joining his side.

But the German stopped short of revealing who he is targeting to fill the final spot on his team ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Samooja was recently spotted wearing a Cleeks shirt but the official announcement is yet to be made.

The Finnish golfer was one of three players who earned their way into the lucrative league at LIV Golf Promotions last December.

Japan's Jinichiro Kozuma and Australia's Kieran Vincent are the other two players who will join him on the rival league.

"I know him a little bit from the European Tour back in the day," Kaymer told NCG of Samooja.

"But we have the same management and when I saw him a week ago when we had a photo shoot in Miami, we spent a bit of time together and he seemed to be a really nice guy, a really good player, solid guy.

"We're still looking for the fourth which we will probably announce within the next few days.

"There are a few names in the pot, so we'll see who will join the Cleeks, but we're definitely going to have a good team and a good team environment, nice guys that I know well.

"It's going to be a European team. From the get-go, that was the goal to have a European Cleeks team."

He continued: "That is the route that we want to go, but it's tricky because so many things need to be considered, especially for the people who join, a lot less than we had to consider back in the day when we had the chance to join LIV.

"But there are still a lot of uncertainties for most of the guys and I would like to give them as much information as possible to make their decision as easy as possible."

Kaymer is not the only LIV captain who is targeting new signings.

Jon Rahm is yet to fill out his roster but it is anticipated at least one spot will be filled by the talented youngster Caleb Surratt.

According to Telegraph Sport, Rahm has now turned his attentions to trying to persuade his Ryder Cup teammate Tyrrell Hatton to join his side.

Speaking at the Dubai Desert Classic before Rory McIlroy won the tournament for the fourth time, Hatton appeared open to a move.

His comments were decidedly different to England's Tommy Fleetwood who did confirm LIV talks but insisted he is still chasing his childhood dreams and won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

"Some people will go and some people won't," Fleetwood, 32, told reporters about the latest speculation.

"At some point we'll either all play together, or we won't. I, like everybody else, will just wait to find out.

"I'm still chasing my childhood dreams and still trying to be the best golfer I can be.

"Who knows if that changes in the future but for now that's just where I want to be."
