Dow Championship 2026: Full Teams and Prize Money Payouts for sole LPGA event of season
Check out all the two-player teams competing at the Dow Championship and how much money is on the line in the LPGA's sole team event of 2026.
The Dow Championship is the LPGA Tour’s only official team event, offering a refreshing change of pace from the usual individual stroke-play format.
Played at Midland Country Club in Midland, Michigan, the tournament brings together 72 two-player teams competing for a share of a $3.3 million purse.
First introduced in 2019, the event has quickly established itself as one of the most distinctive weeks on the LPGA calendar.
The tournament allows players to form partnerships with friends, compatriots, or compatible playing styles, creating a rare blend of camaraderie and high-stakes competition at the elite level.
World number one Nelly Korda headlines the field with her team partner and close friend Olivia Cowan.
Korda returns after winning her fourth major title and first U.S. Women's Open at Riviera last Sunday.
Despite being the star player in the field though, Korda's team is not favourite to win the 2026 Dow Championship.
Hyo Joo Kim and Hye-Jin Choi, ranked third and 17th in the world respectively, are the clear favourites with the bookmakers at odds of 5/1.
Jinhee Im and Somi Lee are second favourites at odds of 15/2, with Korda and Cowan priced up third in the market at 8/1.
The winning team will earn just over $400,000 each.
The format for the Dow Championship alternates across four rounds, just like the annual Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour.
Rounds 1 and 3 are played as foursomes (alternate shot), where teammates share one ball and take turns hitting it.
Rounds 2 and 4 switch to fourball (better ball), where both players play their own ball and the lowest score on each hole counts for the team.
This mix demands versatility: fourball rewards aggressive scoring, while foursomes tests patience, precision and trust.
After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 33 teams and ties.
If a playoff is required, it is played in an alternate-shot format, placing even greater emphasis on teamwork under pressure.
Defending champions Somi Lee and Jin Hee Im return to Midland looking to retain their title.
With major winners, rising stars and international pairings throughout the field, the Dow Championship continues to deliver one of the most unpredictable and entertaining weeks of the season.
