Nelly Korda makes major announcement ahead of U.S. Women’s Open
World number one Nelly Korda has confirmed her return to the 2026 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open after a sensational start to the LPGA season.
World number one Nelly Korda says she is “really looking forward” to returning to Dundonald Links after confirming she will tee it up in the 2026 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open from 23-26 July.
The American star, who made her debut at the Ayrshire venue last year, spoke warmly about her experience in Scotland and believes the tournament offers ideal preparation ahead of the final major of the season at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club.
“I am really looking forward to returning to Dundonald Links for the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open,” said Korda.
“I really enjoyed my time there last year. With the lovely onsite accommodation, the fantastic links course, the welcoming Scottish crowds and getting to compete against a world-class field, I think it is the perfect preparation for Royal Lytham.”
Korda's announcement comes a week before she competes in the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera.
Korda is currently in exceptional form after producing a scintillating start to the 2026 LPGA season.
The 27-year-old American has already chalked up three wins in just seven appearances, including the Chevron Championship — her third major title — while also recording three runner-up finishes to regain top spot in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
Her worst result in 2026 is a tie for eighth, which came in her last appearance at the Kroger Queen City Championship.
Korda has captured 18 LPGA Tour titles, 82 top-10 finishes and more than $19 million in career earnings.
She finished tied fifth on her ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open debut at Dundonald Links in 2025.
The tournament is once again expected to feature a strong field, with defending champion Lottie Woad already confirmed alongside Charley Hull and home favourite Gemma Dryburgh.
Co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA, the ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open remains the only LPGA event to be staged in Scotland during the 2026 season.
The championship heads back to Dundonald Links for a fifth consecutive year after record crowds of more than 11,000 spectators attended the 2025 edition.
The Scottish Government and VisitScotland have also extended their support of the event through a new funding agreement running until 2028, underlining the continued growth and profile of the championship.
Tickets for the 2026 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open are now on sale, with early bird adult tickets available from £10 and free entry for under-16s.
