Keegan Bradley reveals whether he's signed a "captain's agreement" ahead of Ryder Cup
"What? That's a strange question. Why?" Keegan Bradley reacts to latest Ryder Cup question after carding an impressive 67 on day two at The Open.
Keegan Bradley has confirmed he and the PGA of America are working on a "captain's agreement" should he end up becoming a playing captain at the 2025 Ryder Cup in September.
Bradley, 39, confirmed the update after carding a solid 67 to move to 3-under par at the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush on Friday.
As it stands, Bradley, who won his eighth career PGA Tour title at the Travelers Championship last month, is three spots outside of the automatic top six in the US Ryder Cup standings.
But he is the sixth highest ranked American on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) at seventh in the world.
In an exchange between player and reporter, which you can watch below, Bradley was asked whether he has signed a "captain's agreement".
An agreement with the PGA of America in the sense he will want to put different things in place should he end up representing his nation as a player in New York.
Bradley's reply to the journalist would more than likely indicate he is now more likely than not to peg it up at Bethpage.
Bradley had always previously said he would never pick himself should he require a pick, but given his current form and performances on the PGA Tour, it would seem all the more likely that he will make up the 12 on the team.
He is also being encouraged by a number of his peers to become the first playing captain at the Ryder Cup since late great Arnold Palmer in 1963.
Here's the exchange between reporter and Bradley after his second round:
Reporter: Have you signed the captain's agreement?
Bradley: What? That's a strange question. Why?
Reporter: Well because if in fact you became a playing captain I would think you'd want to have the agreement to have certain things in it that maybe you wouldn't normally have if you weren't playing captain
Bradley: We [pauses], we are working on the captain's agreement [nods head]

Bradley has amassed three top-10 finishes in his last five tournaments ahead of this week's Open.
After his impressive round of 67 on Friday at The Open, he looks on from just outside the top 10 heading into the weekend as he goes in pursuit of a second career major title.
Bradley won his sole major to date at the 2011 PGA Championship
