Solheim Cup 2026: Saturday Morning Foursomes and Tee Times with Europe and USA tied at 4-4

The Saturday morning foursomes pairings and tee times for the 2026 Solheim Cup have been announced, with Europe and USA heading into the second day locked together at 4-4.

The first foursomes match will tee off at 6.40am GMT Saturday, with the remaining three matches following at 12-minute intervals.

Match 1 – Maja Stark / Linn Grant (Europe) vs Nelly Korda / Allisen Corpuz (USA)
Tee time: 6.40am

Match 2 – Leona Maguire/Esther Henseleit (Europe) vs Jennifer Kupcho / Rose Zhang (USA)

Neither side could establish an advantage on the opening day.

Friday's morning foursomes finished 2-2, before the afternoon fourballs also ended 2-2 to leave the overall contest perfectly poised at 4-4.

This is the first time in Solheim Cup history both of the first two sessions have ended in a tie.

Friday Foursomes Results:

The opening day began with Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz making Solheim Cup history, becoming the first pairing in the competition's history to win their first five matches together.

The American duo defeated Charley Hull and Solheim Cup debutant Lottie Woad 4&3 in the opening match, continuing their remarkable record as a partnership.

Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin then extended the USA's advantage to 2-0 before Europe fought back through Esther Henseleit and Leona Maguire, followed by Maja Stark and Linn Grant, to level the morning session.

Friday Fourballs Results:

The afternoon fourballs followed a similar pattern.

Megan Khang and Alison Lee secured another American point, while European rookies Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud responded with a hard-fought 2&1 victory over Allisen Corpuz and Auston Kim.

The final match of the day then produced a dramatic finish.

Korda and Coughlin appeared set to claim another American point against Carlota Ciganda and Julia Lopez Ramirez, but Lopez Ramirez made bogey on the 18th before Ciganda held her nerve and drilled a pressure-packed par putt to halve the match.

That ensured Europe took a share of the afternoon points and left the teams level at 4-4 heading into Saturday.

Alison Lee was the only player to win two matches on day one. 

With four more foursomes matches on Saturday morning followed by fourballs in the afternoon, there is little room for error for either side.

The Solheim Cup will then conclude on Sunday with 12 singles matches.

The USA need 14 points to retain the trophy after their victory in 2024, while Europe require 14.5 points to regain the Solheim Cup.

Europe has not lost a home Solheim Cup match since Germany in 2015.
