"He's surrounded by enablers" - Golf insider claims Tiger Woods' children old enough to step in
Alan Shipnuck has suggested only Tiger Woods' children may be able to get through to the golfer after his latest car crash.

The golf journalist and author, Alan Shipnuck, has suggested only Tiger Woods' children may get through to him after the 15-time major champion's latest arrest.
Woods, 50, was involved in another car crash on 28 March near his home in Jupiter, Florida.
It marked the fourth incident involving the 82-time PGA Tour winner behind the wheel since 2009.
The golf legend rolled his Land Rover after clipping a truck "at a high rate of speed" and was forced to crawl out the passenger side of the vehicle. No-one was injured.
Woods "showed signs of impairment" and was arrested shortly after the incident at around 14:00 local time.
He was released from jail eight hours later and has been charged with driving under the influence, property damage and refusal to submit a lawful test.
Woods had been trying to ramp up his training in the hopes of playing in the first men's major of the year.
But now it appears extremely unlikely that Woods will tee it up in the Masters for the first time in more than two years.
Woods missed the 2025 Masters through injury after rupturing his left Achilles one month before the tournament began.
What happens next for Woods and his career is unclear.
Many are suggesting that the latest incident demonstrates that he has not sorted out what appears to be a deeply troubled side.
Golf reporter and author Shipnuck told CNN in a recent interview his teenage children, Charlie, 17, and Samantha, 18, may be the only people who can speak truth to power.
"You know, Charlie's now a senior in high school," he said. "Sam is off at college. They may be old enough now to take on that burden.
"There was one person who could speak truth to power to Tiger and that was his father Earl.
"And he died in 2006 and Tiger's been on this downward spiral ever since.
"And there's clearly a vacuum of people around Tiger that care about him enough to tell him the hard truths.
"And so it may fall upon his children. And I would think that's who he will finally get through to him if anybody can.
"But, you know, he's surrounded by enablers and yes-men and employees, and they're just not going to tell him what he needs to hear."
Watch here:
Shipnuck added that Woods has been "struggling with painkillers" for almost a decade.
"I mean, Tiger had his first DUI in 2017 and he had a cocktail of pills in his system," Shipnuck said. "And then of course, he had the rollover [in 2021].
"That was kind of swept under the rug by the LA County Sheriff. They did not investigate that thoroughly."
Shipnuck was referencing the fact that no blood was drawn and no substance test was administered after Woods crashed his Genesis SUV in February 2021 at more than twice the speed limit.
"We don't know exactly what happened with that accident and what Tiger may or may not have been impaired by," he added.
"But clearly, he should not be behind the wheel. I mean, he's endangering himself and others.
"And he broke his body in this maniacal pursuit to be the greatest golfer of all time and he smashed up his life as well.
"And it's just sad to see the price that he's paid. And you have to hope that this will be the wake-up call that Tiger needs.
"But for this now, you know, three strikes and you're out.
"I think everyone in the game would like to see him drive nothing more than a golf cart for the rest of his life."
