Fresh concerns surrounding Tiger Woods have emerged following his latest DUI arrest — with claims the United States Secret Service had already taken steps to keep him away from driving Donald Trump’s grandchildren.

According to a report by the New York Post, agents responsible for protecting the president’s family had long enforced strict limits — even before Woods’ crash in Florida made headlines last Friday.

A family insider told the publication that safeguards were firmly in place regardless of recent events.

“The agents are ‘certainly not letting Tiger Woods – even without the DUI’ drive the kids,” the source told the New York Post.

The insider added: “There would be concern if their kids weren’t being protected by Secret Service.”

Woods, 50, is currently in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr..

The former couple share five children, all of whom are under Secret Service protection as part of the president’s immediate family.

Under federal protocol, those protections include round-the-clock monitoring by armed agents, who are tasked with ensuring the safety of protectees and preventing exposure to potentially risky situations.

The claims emerged after Woods was arrested on Friday following a crash near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida.

Police reported the 15-time major champion flipped his Range Rover at around 2pm local time after clipping the rear of a truck he was attempting to overtake.

Woods reportedly exited his vehicle through the passenger door before being detained at the scene.

Woods was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

Authorities said the former world number one golfer appeared “lethargic” and showed “signs of impairment” and appeared to be on “some type of medication or drug.”

He passed a breathalyser test but declined to provide a urine sample.

Woods was held in custody for eight hours and later released on bail.

Speaking at the time of the incident, President Trump described Woods as a close friend while acknowledging concerns over the situation.

Trump told reporters: “I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine. He’s an amazing person, amazing man. But some difficulty.”

Sources told the New York Post that Vanessa and the children were not near the scene at the time of the crash.

Woods is due to face a court hearing next month, likely on or before Friday 17 April.

Neither the PGA Tour nor his representatives have commented.

It remains to be seen whether Woods will still attend Augusta National as planned for The Masters.

Woods had initially said he would be attending Rory McIlroy's Champions Dinner on Tuesday 7 April.

Prior to his crash and DUI arrest, Woods had been unsure whether he would be able to compete in the tournament itself two days later.
