PGA Tour confirms Travelers Championship final-round restart time after weather delay
Play at TPC River Highlands was suspended due to dangerous weather with Scottie Scheffler leading by one shot as Collin Morikawa waits in the clubhouse after a brilliant final-round 61.
The PGA Tour has confirmed the final round of the Travelers Championship will resume at 7:20 p.m. ET (12:20 a.m. BST) following a weather delay at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.
Play was suspended at 5:57 p.m. ET due to dangerous weather moving through the area, leaving a thrilling finish to the PGA Tour's final Signature Event of the 2026 season on hold.
When play resumes, world number one and four-time major champion Scottie Scheffler will hold a one-shot lead at 21-under par as he chases his 21st PGA Tour title and second victory of the season.
Scheffler was two-under for his final round before the suspension and safely positioned in the middle of the fairway on the par-4 14th.
Waiting in the clubhouse is Collin Morikawa, who piled the pressure on the leader with a superb nine-under-par 61 to reach 20-under and move into solo second.
Viktor Hovland remains firmly in contention at 19-under par and he will resume alongside Scheffler from the 14th fairway as the Norwegian looks to claim his first victory of the season.
Wyndham Clark is also just two shots off the lead at 19-under par. Fresh from his U.S. Open victory last week, Clark will return facing a 30-foot birdie putt on the par-4 15th.
Matt Fitzpatrick and Akshay Bhatia are still within striking distance at 18-under par, having completed 15 and 14 holes respectively before play was halted.
The Travelers Championship is the eighth and final Signature Event on the 2026 PGA Tour schedule, with a $20 million purse and a winner's cheque worth $4 million still up for grabs.
