PGA Tour star and father confirmed for PNC Championship
Cameron Young and his father David will make their debut in the hit-and-giggle PGA Tour event in December.
PGA Tour star Cameron Young is set to make his debut at the PNC Championship.
The 29-year-old American will team up with his father, David, after qualifying with victory at the 2026 Players Championship.
The 36-hole scramble takes place over 19-20 December at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.
Young is the latest addition to a field that includes five-time major champion Brooks Koepka, who will play alongside his father, Bob.
Koepka was previously ineligible to play in the silly season event given his association with LIV Golf, but quit the breakaway tour last December.
"Being invited to the PNC Championship for the first time is an honour, and something I'm looking forward to," Young said.
"It's a unique event where I have the opportunity to compete alongside my father against an incredible field.
"It will be a really cool dynamic, and having the family around makes for a great way to end the year."
Young has enjoyed a breakthrough 2026 season, winning twice on the PGA Tour to establish himself among the world's leading players.
He is currently ranked fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking, behind Matt Fitzpatrick, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler.

In March, he claimed the Players Championship by one stroke ahead of Fitzpatrick. He also won the Cadillac Championship in dominant fashion.
Young also played in the final group alongside McIlroy at the Masters and finished runner-up at the Open at Royal Troon.
His rise follows an impressive Ryder Cup debut in 2025. Despite the United States losing to Europe at Bethpage Black, Young was his team's leading points scorer.
The PNC Championship field will be finalised in the coming weeks.
Six-time winner Bernhard Langer will return, this time alongside his daughter, Christina DeJong.

The German last won the event with his son Jason in 2024, beating Tiger Woods and his son Charlie in a play-off.
Defending champion Matt Kuchar will also return with his son Cameron.
The event will feature more women than ever before, with world number one Nelly Korda again partnering her father, Petr.
Ten-time major champion Annika Sorenstam will team up with her son, Will McGree, for the fourth consecutive year.
United States Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker is also set to play alongside his daughter, Izzi.
The aforementioned Woods is yet to confirm whether he will participate this year.
Woods, 50, has not confirmed if and when he will return to the course.
The 15-time major champion has not played in a professional tournament since the 2024 Open Championship, but recent footage of him hitting full shots on the range has prompted renewed optimism over his playing future.
Woods was seen practising at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey in September before making another appearance at a TGR event at Pebble Beach in October, where he hit shots alongside PGA Tour professionals Max Homa and Billy Horschel.
Kevin Kisner, who was recently booted off Woods' TGL team, suggested earlier in the month that the 82-time PGA Tour winner could return to golf before the end of the year at the Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship.
