PGA Tour winner caps comeback year with lavish Hawaii wedding
The PGA Tour star celebrated his wedding after bouncing back from an injury-hit 2025 season with a strong return to form in 2026.
Congratulations are in order for PGA Tour star Sahith Theegala and his partner.
The 28-year-old American tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, influencer Julianna 'Juju' Chan, in Hawaii over the weekend.
The couple celebrated with two wedding ceremonies at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, with a traditional Hindu ceremony on Friday, October 23, followed by a Western ceremony on Saturday, October 24.
The celebrations brought together 115 guests and blended Theegala’s Indian and Hindu heritage with Chan's Chinese American background and the local Hawaiian culture.
Festivities began with a welcome party titled 'Dumplings and Dosas', combining traditional Chinese and South Indian cuisine.
The Hindu ceremony was decorated in yellow and light pink, while the Western ceremony featured green and neutral tones.
PGA Tour professional Akshay Bhatia and his wife Presleigh were among the guests, alongside Theegala's longtime caddie, Carl Smith.
"Getting married on Maui, my favourite island, is my absolute dream," Chan told PEOPLE magazine.
"It is such a special place to both of us."
Theegala met Chan at Pepperdine University in California in 2015, where he played college golf and she competed in swimming and diving.
The pair, who both studied sport administration, were close friends for seven years before beginning their relationship in 2022.
They became engaged on the Hawaiian island of Kauai in October 2025, with Chan previously describing the location as particularly meaningful to them.
The wedding comes after comeback year for Theegala, following a difficult 2025 campaign disrupted by injuries.
Having finished third in the FedEx Cup standings in 2024, Theegala endured a dramatic drop-off the following season, falling to 147th after struggling with physical problems that affected his availability and performance.
Neck issues forced him to withdraw from the PGA Championship in May 2025, having also retired from the Truist Championship the previous week.
He subsequently dealt with an oblique injury that contributed to further time away from competition.
The setbacks left the American outside the FedEx Cup playoffs and facing an uncertain path back towards the PGA Tour's biggest events.
However, Theegala responded with a strong resurgence in 2026, making 24 cuts in 25 starts and recording nine top-25 finishes, including four top-10 results.
He climbed to 48th in the FedEx Cup standings, improving by 99 places year-on-year to secure access to the Tour's signature events for 2027.
