Robert MacIntyre holes putt then hushes unruly golf fan at BMW Championship
Scotland's Robert MacIntyre buried a seven footer for par and then hushed a spectator in the gallery in the third round of the BMW Championship.
Robert MacIntyre holed a clutch seven-footer for par on the 14th hole and then hushed a spectator in the gallery during the third round of the BMW Championship at Caves Valley.
MacIntyre, 29, had just watched his playing partner Scottie Scheffler convert a 20 footer for birdie in front of him.
The Scot chipped up from the left side of the green down to seven feet past the hole and he needed to make his par putt to remain three shots ahead at the time.
MacIntyre's TaylorMade Spider Tour putter has been red-hot all week at the BMW Championship and it remained that way as he converted his par save.
After holing the putt, MacIntyre turned immediately behind him to stare at an unruly spectator who was allegedly trying to put him off.
MacIntyre pointed his putter at the fan before plucking his ball out the cup.
He then continued to stare at the fan as he trudged off the back of the green.
An early look at what's likely to unfold at the Ryder Cup next month no doubt...

"Yeah, look from the get go, in America and playing against their sweetheart, I get on well with him, great guy, unbelievable player, but I expected it today and I expect it again tomorrow.
"If you give me crap, I'll give you crap back, I'm not scared of that. I'm inside the ropes, got security around me and I'm safe."
MacIntyre holed a birdie bomb on the 18th to card a round of 68 to take a four-shot lead over Scheffler into the final round.
The Scot is seeking a third PGA Tour title at the BMW Championship and his first of the season.
MacIntyre is also looking to become the first ever Scot to win a FedEx Playoffs event.
