Charlie Woods had another day to forget at the Junior Players Championship.

The 15-year-old was faced with an uphill battle after he opened the prestigious tournament at iconic TPC Sawgrass with a four-over 76 on Friday.

He took his score to seven-over after 36 holes, carding a 75 that leaves him in a share of 43rd place in the 77-man field.

The Benjamin School junior was neat and tidy for the most part, but ruined an otherwise clean card with double bogeys at the second and 14th.

The only highlight of his day came at the 535-yard par-five 15th, where he reached the green in two shots and holed his birdie putt.

Charlie is not the only famous name in the field. Cameron Kuchar, son of multiple PGA Tour winner Matt, is currently in a share of 65th place.

At the other end of the leaderboard, Miles Russell opened up a two-shot lead with 18 holes remaining.

The 16-year-old has already made a notable impression on the golf world. Last December, he became the youngest ever player to make a Korn Ferry Tour cut.

He has also received sponsor exemptions to compete in two PGA Tour events.

In 2023, he was named the American Junior Golf Association player of the year, breaking Tiger's record of becoming the youngest recipient of the award.
