Valero Texas Open Round 3 Tee Times: Play to start early with bad weather expected
Valero Texas Open Round 3 Tee Times: Scotland's Bob MacIntyre takes a commanding four-shot lead into Saturday's third round at TPC San Antonio.
Scotland's Robert MacIntyre takes a commanding four-shot lead into Saturday's third round at the Valero Texas Open.
MacIntyre, 29, fired a stunning 8-under 64 Friday to vault to a venue-record 14-under par thru 36 holes at TPC San Antonio.
MacIntyre leads his European Ryder Cup teammate Ludvig Aberg, 26, by four shots heading into Saturday's third round.
Both players are looking to capture a third PGA Tour title.

Should MacIntyre go on to win the Texas Open on Sunday, it would incredibly mark the first time in PGA Tour history where left-handed golfers have won three years on the spin - Akshay Bhatia (2024), Brian Harman (2025).
MacIntyre has credited a driver switch in helping him surge to the top of the leaderboard.
Kevin Roy, Bud Cauley, Tony Finay and Thorbjorn Olesen round out the top five on 9-under par.
Elsewhere, England's Tommy Fleetwood remains in the chasing pack as a second-round 70 nudged him up to 7-under par.
The PGA Tour has confirmed the third round will start earlier than originally scheduled as a result of incoming bad weather.
In order to get round as quickly as possible, groups of three will be sent out off both the 1st and 10th tees.
MacIntyre, Aberg and Roy will make up the final three-ball off the 1st in Saturday's third round.
With anticipated thunderstorms and lightning passing through the golf course, it may prove to be something of a stop-start third round.
The cut line came at 2-under par, with a total of 70 players on that score.
It meant a number of big names missed the weekend including Russell Henley (1-under), Sepp Straka (Par) and Rickie Fowler (1-over).
Only one player - Luke Clanton - was unable to finish his second round due to darkness. Clanton had the opportunity to play his final hole, the par-4 9th, but chose to return in the morning with better light. It could likely prove a wise decision since he needs a par or better on the hole in order to make the weekend.
