Which players missed the cut at the Valero Texas Open?
Rickie Fowler will not play in the 2026 Masters Tournament after the American was among the notables to miss the cut at the Valero Texas Open.
The Valero Texas Open continues this weekend on the PGA Tour without some notable names.
After 36 holes at TPC San Antonio, Scotland's Robert MacIntyre has a healthy four-shot lead over his European Ryder Cup teammate Ludvig Aberg.
MacIntyre credited a driver switch to his blistering start in the penultimate event before the first men's major of the year next week at Augusta National.
The Oban man has already qualified for the 2026 Masters Tournament but several others have missed out on securing a tee time in Georgia.
The winner of the Valero Texas Open, not otherwise exempt, grabs the final spot into the Masters field.
America's Tony Finau is among this group and is only three shots off the pace.
However, Rickie Fowler's run ends here, as he joins a notable group of players who missed the cut.
The popular American will now have a week off after firing rounds of 71 and 75 to miss the cut by three strokes.
Fowler will miss out on playing in The Masters for the second year in a row.

Russell Henley, -1
The American had been among the pre-tournament betting favourites but missed the cut by one stroke.
It is the second time Henley has missed a cut this season.
Max Homa, -1
Max Homa did not need a win this week to qualify for The Masters.
Homa, a six-time PGA Tour winner, will be in Augusta next week courtesy of his T12 finish last April.
Still, Homa has now missed two cuts from his last three starts.
Tom Kim, E
The young South Korean also needed a win to qualify for The Masters.
He began the tournament well, carding a two under 70 on Friday but an error-strewn 74 yesterday saw Kim miss the cut by two strokes.
Kim will be devastated, given that he has played in The Masters for the past three seasons.
Sepp Straka, E
Sepp Straka has already qualified for The Masters.
However, he departs after 36 holes. The big Austrian looked as though he was going to make the weekend, but made a double-bogey on his penultimate hole of the day to miss out.
Elsewhere, former U.S. Open champions Lucas Glover and Webb Simpson withdrew.
