Bryson DeChambeau ready to "chirp in the ear" of Rory McIlroy at Ryder Cup
Bryson DeChambeau ready to get in the ear of Rory McIlroy should they meet each other at the 2025 Ryder Cup in New York.
Bryson DeChambeau has revealed he will be "chirping in the ear" of Rory McIlroy should they face each other at the 2025 Ryder Cup in September.
DeChambeau, 31, made his feelings be known ahead of golf's biennial contest during an interview with PEOPLE at the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere in New York this week.
The LIV Golf superstar went toe to toe with McIlroy, 36, at The Masters in Aprii.
But it was the PGA Tour legend who got the upper hand as he went on to slip on the coveted Green Jacket for the first time in his career.
It was also a victory that saw McIlroy become just the sixth player in the modern era to complete the career grand slam.
DeChambeau later admitted McIlroy did not say a word to him during the final round at famed Augusta National.
Speaking to PEOPLE two months before the biennial dust-up between the United States and Europe, and DeChambeau revealed his plan to get the upper hand on McIlroy should they face each other at Bethpage in New York.
"I'll be chipring in his ear this time," said DeChambeau.
"Now, if we go up against each other, I mean you can be sure of it."
