Keegan Bradley has dropped a few hints about his possible Ryder Cup pairings as Team USA played a full 18-hole practice round at Bethpage Black on Monday.

There has been much speculation that Bryson DeChambeau will hit the opening tee shot for the home side in Friday morning's foursomes, and he was first to tee off in practice.

The big-hitting two-time US Open champion whipped up the fans at Whistling Straits in the 2021 Ryder Cup when he drove the green at the par-four first, and he was out with the driver again on the opening hole.

The 1st at Bethpage measures close to 400 yards, but it is reduced to around 350 yards if you cut the corner of the dogleg - something Rory McIlroy attempted during Europe's scouting mission to the venue last week.

DeChambeau was grouped with seasoned Ryder Cup veteran Justin Thomas and two of the USA's four rookies - Ben Griffin and Cameron Young.

World No 1 Scottie Scheffler, winner of six titles this year including the PGA Championship and The Open, played alongside the other two debutants in Russell Henley and US Open champion JJ Spaun, with Harris English completing the fourball.

Scheffler and Henley won two of their three matches together at last year's Presidents Cup and they are widely expected to be partners again this week in New York.

Xander Schauffele was in the same group as close friend Patrick Cantlay along with Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns, who formed a strong partnership with Cantlay at Royal Montreal last year, winning two fourballs matches together.

Team Europe played 27 holes of golf at Bethpage last week and are not scheduled to practice again until Tuesday, which will be the first day of the week that spectators will be admitted.
