Ticket prices for the practice days for this week's Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black have been slashed by over 50%, according to current rates on StubHub.

All three days of competition were sold out within a couple of days despite one-day tickets costing a minimum of $750, although that did include food and beverages.

The initial prices for the three practice days were also eye-wateringly expensive, with the PGA of American charging $255 per ticket for Tuesday and Wednesday, with Thursday setting you back a whopping $424.

But it would appear that the locals are lacking interest in watching Team USA and Europe playing practice rounds.

Resale specialists StubHub, Vivid Seats and Gametime are selling Tuesday tickets for just $83, a decrease of 65% on the original price, while you can now gain entry to watch the Junior Ryder Cup and the opening ceremony on Thursday for as little as $112.

That represents a massive markdown of 74%, while Wednesday ticket prices have halved to $117.

However, if you visit the PGA of America's official ticket supplier - Seat Geek - you'll still be paying full price for whatever day you choose to attend.

And whatever ticket site you visit to get passes for Friday, Saturday or Sunday, all prices are currently way above the original value.

The lowest price available for Friday, if you want a pair, is currently $1,308 each, although you can get better value over the weekend.

Saturday prices start at $1,107, again when shopping for a pair of tickets, while day passes for Sunday's singles matches are up by less than $50 at $798.
