Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy reveal epic 2026 TGL season schedule

Golf superstars Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods are set to headline a stacked 2026 TGL presented by SoFi season, with the high-tech, team-based league returning to ESPN platforms this winter — and making its network TV debut on ABC.

TGL Season 2 tees off Sunday 28 December 2025 at 3 p.m. ET with a live broadcast on ABC, as New York Golf Club take on defending champions Atlanta Drive GC in a blockbuster rematch of last season’s dramatic finals. 

Both matches were decided by just a single point, and Atlanta will raise its inaugural championship banner before defending the SoFi Cup inside the futuristic SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. 

TGL teams and players 

TGL’s second season features 15 regular-season matches, followed by playoffs for the top four teams and a best-of-three Finals on 23-24 March 23 2026.

Co-founded by McIlroy and Woods, TGL blends elite golf with rapid-fire team competition — played entirely indoors at the cutting-edge SoFi Center. 

The league’s unique format, complete with roaring crowds and the strategic Hammer rule (doubling hole value), makes every match a high-stakes showdown.

Rory McIlroy vs Tiger Woods: primetime showdown

The matchup every golf fan wants to see lands on Sunday 1 March when McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf face Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club in TGL’s first-ever Sunday night primetime clash.

The showdown airs live at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN, straight after the final round of the PGA Tour's Cognizant Classic in Palm Beach Gardens — just a few miles from the SoFi Center.
