Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's TGL announce notable changes for 2026
The second season of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's TGL will look a bit different, according to organisers of the hi-tech league.

Organisers of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's TGL have announced several notable changes for season two.
The hi-tech, indoor golf league finally launched after a one-year delay in January.
Atlanta Drive, comprising of Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Lucas Glover, were crowned the winners after staging a dramatic comeback in the inaugural championship match against New York.
And the league will return on 28 December, with the same six teams made up of PGA Tour stars attempting to win the SoFi Cup.
Woods is unlikely to be involved as a player after recently undergoing his seventh career back surgery.
But the 15-time major champion has promised he will attend all of Jupiter Links' matches in person.
Competitors will experience a few changes, though.
Let's take a look...
The GreenZone
The putting surface has been increased by 38% and now spans 5,270 square feet (around the average size of a PGA Tour green).
There are also 12 different pin locations, up from seven.
The putting surface's undulations were softened slightly to create more natural slopes while also improving visibility for fans on-site. One bunker was removed from the surrounding area, while the remaining two were expanded by 50%.
Playability
The hitting boxes golfers use to hit into the screen have been enlarged.
The sand trays can now be lowered to include larger bunker lips to increase difficulty of fairway bunker shots.

Holes
Six holes will be rebranded as official holes for each team and will feature terrain specific to each team.
New golf holes are expected to be released soon.
Updated graphics
Full Swing, the game engine software, has been upgraded.

Andrew Macauley, chief technology officer at TMRW Sports, said: "After a successful inaugural season, we conducted a comprehensive review of data and learnings from all aspects of competition with players, teams and our broadcast partners to elevate the fan experience, enhance gameplay and create even more excitement for Season 2 of TGL presented by SoFi.
"These updates are part of our continued effort to increase drama, intrigue and dynamic moments while further challenging TGL's teams within SoFi Center’s one-of-a-kind environment."
