Just days after confirming the seventh back surgery of his career, Tiger Woods has posted an encouraging update on his return to golf by confirming he will be in attendance at all of Jupiter Links GC's fixtures on TGL in 2026.

Woods, 49, took to X / Twitter to confirm he will be front and centre at every single TGL fixture for his team, Jupiter Links GC, when the groundbreaking indoor golf league returns for its second season in 2026.

Whether his comments mean he will be able to play straight away when his TGL team takes to the SoFi Center on Tuesday 13 January remains to be seen, but at least the 15-time major champion will still be on the scene regardless.

Woods' update comes just five days after revealing he’s undergone the seventh back surgery of his legendary PGA Tour career.

Despite being in recovery, Woods has informed TGL fans he’ll be there when Jupiter Links tee off their TGL home opener against New York Golf Club.

Jupiter Links had wished their captain a speedy recovery, joking that team ambassador Will Lowery was “taking great care” of Woods' TaylorMade clubs.

Woods’ reply was vintage Tiger:

“I’ll be there for every match! Looking forward to seeing everyone on January 13th for our home opener. And @WillLowery, hands off my sticks!”

Woods is the brainchild of the tech-infused TGL project he co-founded with fellow PGA Tour superstar Rory McIlroy and their business partner Mike McCarley.

TGL's first season wrapped earlier this year, with Atlanta Drive GC defeating New York Golf Club to win the inaugural SoFi Cup.

Now, anticipation is building for TGL’s sophomore season, where Woods' Jupiter Links GC will again headline the action along with McIlroy's Boston Common Golf.

Both Woods and McIlroy's teams will be looking for improvements in 2026 after having both missed out on the Playoffs.

TGL Season 2 tees off Sunday 28 December 2025 at 3 p.m. ET with a live broadcast on ABC, as New York Golf Club take on defending champions Atlanta Drive GC in a blockbuster rematch of last season’s dramatic finals.

Woods' upbeat social media update on TGL came amid a tough personal update last weekend.

A recent scan revealed Woods had suffered a collapsed disc at L4/5, along with disc fragments and a compromised spinal canal.

Prior to this surgery, Woods was already recovering from surgery in March to repair a ruptured left Achilles tendon.

"The scans determined that I had a collapsed disc in L4/5, disc fragments, and a compromised spinal canal," Woods shared on social media last Saturday.

"I opted to have my disc replaced yesterday, and I already know I made a good decision for my health and my back."

Woods' team confirmed the surgery was "deemed successful", performed by Dr. Sheeraz Ouershi and his team at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Still, no timeline has been set for his return to PGA Tour competition.

Medical experts believe Woods will need at least three months off from golf in order to recover from his latest back surgery.

Woods has not played a PGA Tour event since missing the cut at The Open Championship in July 2024.
