Masters Par 3 Contest results 2026: Final scores from beloved tradition at Augusta National
Masters Par 3 Contest results 2026: Check out who won the annual tradition ahead of the first men's major of the year.
If history is anything to go by, then Aaron Rai will not be your 2026 Masters champion.
The 31-year-old Englishman got the early bragging rights at Augusta National on Wednesday, winning the Masters Par 3 Contest by one stroke from American duo Johnny Keefer and Jacob Bridgeman.
Rai, who played alongside his wife Gaurika Bishnoi, went round the nine-hole course in 21 strokes for a six under total.
But no player who has won the beloved tradition has gone on to win the first men's major of the year.
Rai's compatriot, Matthew Fitzpatrick, along with 1988 Masters winner Sandy Lyle, were among those to finish in the top 10.
Fomer champions Gary Player, Sir Nick Faldo, Tom Watson and Ben Crenshaw also dusted off their clubs and took part with members of their family.
Other highlights of the day included hole-in-ones for Justin Thomas, Keegan Bradley, Tommy Fleetwood and Wyndham Clark.
There was plenty of build-up as to whether Fleetwood's eight-year-old son, Frankie, could finally carry the water on the 9th hole.
Frankie, who went viral 12 months ago with his "I'm just trying my hardest" interview, had two attempts and, although he had the distance, was slightly offline with his tee shots and found the water twice.
We'll see him next year.
"I felt like I could miss it whenever I didn't have a child," said reigning champion Rory McIlroy. "But like nowadays you just can't miss it.
"All the kids, it's one of their favorite days of the year, and everyone was so invested to see if Frankie could get it over the water.
"But, yeah, it was fun, especially being out there with Shane and Tommy. It was a great afternoon."
