Tiger Woods has confirmed he will be at The Masters in April – but remains undecided on whether he will actually compete at Augusta National from 9–12 April.

The 15-time major champion addressed the subject while sitting alongside CBS announcers Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman in the commentary box during the third round of the Genesis Invitational, the tournament that benefits his TGR Foundation.

After reflecting on Riviera’s 100th staging of this tournament on the PGA Tour and discussing his foundation’s work, the conversation inevitably turned to the season’s first major in Georgia and whether Woods will be there.

Nantz, with a smile, nudged Woods by saying: “So McIlroy will defend, Scottie will be there, anybody else you know might be playing this year.”

Woods responded: “I know I’ll be there... we're going to open 'The Patch' (his new Augusta course).

“Trev and I are going to be part of a great dinner (Champions Dinner served by Rory McIlroy).”

Nantz interjected: “I didn't ask that, I just thought maybe you knew someone that might play.”

Woods replied with a wry smile: “Yeah absolutely, I know a lot of people that are playing...”

Immelman then asked him directly: “Is there a possibility that you can get out there?”

Woods answered bluntly: “There is,” prompting Immelman to respond: “That's exciting.”

Nantz followed up by asking whether Woods would play a tournament beforehand.

“I don't know, I don't know, whether it's regular tour, senior tour or member guest, I don't know,” Woods said.

The five-time Masters champion has not competed since missing the cut at The Open in July 2024.

After a ruptured left Achilles tendon in March 2025, Woods was unable to return the following month at The Masters.

He then underwent more surgery in October after “experiencing pain and lack of mobility” in his back — his seventh back procedure in the past decade.

In recent months, Woods has spoken openly about the slow recovery process.

However, earlier this week he revealed he is now hitting full shots again, a positive sign as Augusta approaches.

Whether he will be ready to tee it up in 47 days remains uncertain.

But as Woods made clear on live television, the possibility is very much alive.
