Anticipation is slowly building for the third men's major of the year.
The 126th U.S. Open will be staged at Shinnecock Hills in Southampton, New York, over 18-21 June.
America's JJ Spaun will attempt to defend the title he won in dramatic fashion 12 months ago at Oakmont.
World number one Scottie Scheffler is the overwhelming favourite to land his fifth major title, followed by Rory McIlroy.
Scheffler, 29, would also join McIlroy in the history books if he wins the 2026 U.S. Open.

Former world number one Johnson is in the final year of the 10-year exemption he earned for his 2016 U.S. Open win at Oakmont.

Graeme McDowell

The former U.S. Open champion's exemption into the major expired in 2023.
The Northern Irishman also came through the gruelling 36-hole qualifier in Dallas.
