Tiger Woods was spotted using more kinesiology tape on his neck during a level-par 71 on day three of the US Open, before later admitting he was feeling yet more aches and pains.

When asked whether he was dealing with an injury, or if the tape was merely precautionary, Woods replied: “When it’s cold like this, everything is achy. It’s just part of the deal.”

Woods revealed this spring that he was dealing with a strained neck, leading him to withdraw before the Arnold Palmer Invitational, before winning The Masters two starts later.

Despite seemingly fully fit on the course these days, Woods revealed in the spring that he was dealing with a strained neck which led to his withdrawal before the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in March.

And it would appear the 15-time major champion is battling yet more of the same when it comes to neck and back pain.

"It’s been like that for years," said Woods, who has had multiple back surgeries in recent years.

"The forces have to go somewhere. And if they’re not in the lower back, they’re in the neck. And if not, they’re in the mid-back. And if not, they go to the knee. You name it.

"My back impacts every shot I play – it’s just part of the deal. Let me put it this way: I feel every shot I hit. I think that’s always going to be the case from here going forward."

Woods currently lies at level-par and well off the pace going into the final round at Pebble Beach.
