Who is Justin Rose's wife? All about Kate Rose
Former World No. 1 Justin Rose met Kate Phillips two years after his memorable performance as an amateur at The Open.
Justin Rose is enjoying a late-career resurgence.
Aged 46, the Englishman is going for his second major championship title and first green jacket at the 2026 Masters.
Watching from outside the gallery ropes, along with friends family and two children, is his wife Kate Rose.
Justin met Kate - whose maiden name is Phillips - in 2000 while she was working as an assistant for the sports management company IMG.
At the time, his career had stalled following the early promise he showed as an 18-year-old at The Open in 1998.
Kate graduated from the University of Sussex and was an accomplished gymnast, even competing at an international level before retiring from the sport. While working for IMG, which also represented Justin, she began travelling with him on tour.
The couple married in 2006 and have two children: Leo, born in 2009, and Lottie, born in 2012.
After their wedding, Justin reportedly switched the number on his golf balls to 99 - double nine being a nod to Kate's favourite number, which he described as a symbol of double luck.
They spent around a decade living in the Bahamas before relocating to the United States. They have since re-located back to the UK.
Kate is also known to own a racehorse called Master Merion and plays a key role in the Rose Ladies Series, which the couple helped fund. Launched in 2020 during the pandemic, the series was created to support women’s golf at a time when funding was limited.
Justin has said he was "acutely aware" that while he could continue working on the PGA Tour, opportunities were far more restricted on the women’s tours.
In addition to this, Kate is active in charitable work. She helped establish the Justin Rose Foundation in 2009, which focuses on tackling childhood hunger in the Orlando area and providing educational opportunities for young people.
