Belt and buckle bling

Drop a hint - and not your trousers - this Christmas

Belt and buckle bling

One of the best tips we can get from a PGA pro is to swing the golf club in a way that your belt buckle ends up pointing at the target in generating a proper hip turn. Watch any Tour pro and notice how they finish their swing balance with the buckle facing forward.

Tour pros also use the buckle as bling to express their personality.

Take Ross Fisher, for example. Previously the shy former Wentworth apprentice, now a confident young father who hits the ball a mile and is the darling of mums and dads everywhere who want to see their offspring being well behaved on the course, just like him.

Asked recently about his distinctive 'Fish' belt he revealed: "I was staying at Lake Nona and met Bobby the Belt who was designing belts at the time for G-Mac (Graeme McDowell). I told him I was kind of known as 'The Fish' on Tour so he designed me a belt then and there in the restaurant. I think it looks pretty cool."
