Callaway Golf has officially announced that World No.2 Jon Rahm has signed a multi-year equipment deal with the brand that will see him use a full bag of Callaway woods, irons, and wedges, as well as the Chrome Soft X golf ball and an Odyssey Putter in 2021, starting at this week's Sentry Tournament of Champions.
The Callaway woods and irons that Rahm will use in Kapalua are prototypes and he has chosen to use the Jaws MD5 wedges, which have been hugely popular amongst both professional and amateur golfers.
Rahm is excited to use his new Callaway clubs on the PGA Tour this year and according to the Spaniard, he set a new course record of 59 at Silverleaf Club, a course close to his home in Arizona.
“I’m so happy to be joining Callaway, and I can’t wait to start the year,” said Rahm. “The equipment is already performing well for me, and in my first round with the new setup, I shot a course record 59 at Silverleaf. I have confidence in my new Callaway clubs – and especially the golf ball, which has really impressed me during the testing process.”
Rumours of Rahm's switch to Callaway have been circulating for weeks, with TaylorMade announcing the signing of Tommy Fleetwood and leaving Rahm out of their annual Christmas card.

“We’re proud to welcome Jon Rahm as the newest member of our Tour Staff,” said Callaway President & CEO Chip Brewer. “He’s one of the very best players in the world, and he’s a proven winner on golf’s biggest global stages. We’ve admired Jon for many years, going back to his college days when he first used our equipment. We’re excited to see him playing Callaway and Odyssey again as he looks to take his game to yet another level.”
Rahm will also wear TravisMatthew apparel in 2021.
