Rory McIlroy destroyed the rest of the field as he eased his way to his 16th PGA Tour victory of his career, as he won the RBC Canadian Open. The Northern Irishman shot an emphatic final round of 61, to finish 22 under par and seven shots clear at the top of the leaderboard. With the U.S Open starting this Thursday, it's perfect timing for Rory to find top form.

McIlroy is yet to find his form in the majors this year and hasn't won a major since 2014, when he won both the PGA Championship and the Open Championship.

There was a lot of pressure on McIlroy to win the Masters this year, as it remains the only major he is yet to win as he looks to join the elite list of golfers to win a career Grand Slam.
