GolfBuddy Laser Lite Review: the rangefinder that will save you A LOT of…
- Compact design, easy to use, extremely affordable compared to others in the market.
- Not quite as accurate as more expensive lasers

The new GolfBuddy Laser Lite rangefinder is one of the latest rangefinders to hit the market and unlike a lot of others available right now, it comes at a seriously low price, but how well does it perform?

Some rangefinders can cost in excess of £400 due to the amount of technology that brands are able to pack into them these days, so when one of the latest in the game comes at a price of £129.99, we knew we had to get our hands on it and put it to the test.

GolfMagic took the GolfBuddy Laser Lite out onto the course recently to see whether this could be the best pound-for-pound laser on the market.

What is the GolfBuddy Laser Lite Golf Rangefinder all about?

The GB LASER lite includes maximum features at a fraction of the price. This compact and sporty golf laser rangefinder has slope compensation with on/off functionality making it legal for tournament use.

The jolt vibrates to ensure you are picking up the flag rather than the landscape behind and the 0.5-second one-click measure makes it extremely fast at picking up your targets. The carry case easily attaches to your golf bag and can be used without zipping it up. Just lock the elastic toggle and when out on the golf course quickly grab your rangefinder without having to unzip the case all the time.

Great for all types of golfers, especially ladies and juniors with its small, light, and compact design. Fits perfectly in your hand making it even easier to find your target. The three different modes also give you varied options when searching for your target including:

NORMAL - with a click of the button while aiming at the target, the distance will show in the display with vibration.

SCAN - useful when measuring various targets. Click the measurement button once to see the distance to each target. It can be scanned for 10 consecutive seconds and it takes one short click to start.

PIN - when there are a lot of obstacles behind the pin, you can use this mode to get an accurate distance. Once aimed towards a specific target, click the measurement button, and move the unit toward the pin to display the distance.

We absolutely love the small and compact design of the GolfBuddy Laser Lite. For most golfers that use a laser, size isn't really a huge issue, if it was slightly bigger we wouldn't make a fuss, but a small design makes it easy to fit into your hand and less chunky when attached to your golf bag.

In terms of looks, it certainly rocks a sporty design and we think the colourway looks sharp and modern, although the white could get a little dirty over time, but again, that's no big deal.

The GolfBuddy Laser Lite is definitely one of the easiest rangefinders on the market, so if you're looking for something simple that's not going to confuse you every time you're pin seeking, then this could be the laser for you.

One slight issue we found with this laser was that it tended to struggle when the sun was glaring straight into the lense, having tested it whilst the sun was starting to set. This caused a couple of inaccurate yardages every now and then, so it helps to have a rough idea of how far the hole is before using this, depending on how bright it is outside.

But that all links with the price and at a low cost of £129.99, the GolfBuddy Laser Lite is one of the cheapest lasers on the market and some can cost over double that.

Even some of the more expensive laser rangefinders can get a few yardages wrong now and then, so I don't think this is a reason to avoid the GolfBuddy Laser Lite, because at such a cheap price, you're certainly getting your money's worth.
