LONGEST DRIVERS: The TOP 3 longest drivers we've tested in 2021!

The start of the year is always an exciting time in the golf industry as we are treated to multiple new launches from brands and 2021 was no different, with some fantastic new drivers hitting the market.

Choosing the right driver for you always comes down to personal choice. There might be a certain brand you like, or colour scheme, or maybe it comes down to what the driver has to offer.

Distance is of course one of the most important factors for people when it comes to buying a new big stick, but which drivers released in 2021 pack the biggest punch?

We've tested a lot of new drivers already this year and found some interesting results in our reviews, but check out our top three longest drivers that our equipment editor Alex Lodge has tested so far.

#3 - COBRA RADSPEED

In 3rd place for the longest driver of 2021 so far is the COBRA RADSPEED. Cobra Golf released two models this year, the RADSPEED and the RADSPEED XB, but it's the former that takes 3rd spot with an average distance of 307 yards during testing.

Bryson DeChambeau has been using the RADSPEED driver and recently clocked a ball speed of 217mph during a speed training session.

The new RADSPEED driver is one of the best looking drivers on the market and if you're looking for something that combines clean aesthetics with forgiveness and distance, this might be the driver for you in 2021.

Average Distance: 307 yards

RRP: £369

#2 - TAYLORMADE SIM2

Taking 2nd place out of all the drivers GolfMagic has tested so far is the TaylorMade SIM2. Built upon the success of the original SIM driver, the SIM2 never promised to deliver more distance than its predecessor, but instead focused on delivering phenomenal forgiveness, which TaylorMade certainly achieved. That being said, it still didn't stop the SIM2 driver taking 2nd place for longest driver of 2021 with an average distance of 311 yards during testing.

Some of the best players on the planet have put this driver into action already, with Rory McIlroy ripping his SIM2 driver at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship recently.

Average Distance: 311 yards

RRP: £449

#1 - PING G425 LST

Taking the No.1 spot for longest driver of 2021 so far is the PING G425 LST driver. PING launched three G425 driver models this year, but the LST (Low Spin Technology) came out as the longest driver our equipment editor Alex has hit this year, with an average distance of 317 yards.

PING deserve a huge round of applause for the G425 range, as these drivers are in our opinion the best looking drivers on the market in 2021 with a sleek black colourway and classy finish.

The brand has always made some of the most forgiving drivers money can buy, but this year they have combined that with serious distance capabilities and it didn't take long for the driver to get its first professional win of 2021 in the hands of Tyrrell Hatton.

Average Distance: 317 yards

RRP: £450
