Bryson DeChambeau makes another seismic equipment change on eve of The Open
The American's long-rumoured self-built irons have made their way into his bag at Royal Birkdale.

The contents of Bryson DeChambeau's golf bag seem to be ever-changing, but Open week has seen a particularly large change befall the American's setup.
Not far removed from a driver change that has brought a TaylorMade driver into his bag for the first time ever, DeChambeau has rung in the last major of the year with the debut of a brand new iron set.
It's been reported for some time that DeChambeau has been experimenting with building his own irons, using 3D Printing to create a set custom-tuned to his game. This follows on from a lengthy period in which he used Avoda Irons fitted with custom LA Golf graphite shafts.
The new irons are unbranded and have steel shafts fitted, bringing DeChambeau's ill-fated relationship with LA Golf, which he split away from earlier this year, to a more resounding close.
The irons are the latest move in what's been a period of upheaval for the former U.S. Open champion from an equipment standpoint. In addition to his recent driver change, DeChambeau also dropped his set of PING wedges for a line from Bettinardi's HLX 6.0 Forged range.
The change comes at a precarious time for DeChambeau, who is fighting to make his sole cut at a major this year after a disastrous run of form at the last three major tournaments.
It's not known whether or not the irons will find their way into tournament play this week, and it could be that he's simply using this week's range time to refine the irons further, so watch this space for further updates.
