The Masters: Scottie Scheffler hits the range at Augusta with beginners training aid
The two-time Masters champion's 'practice obsession' is a fundamental we can all work on.

Golf grip trainers are the type of training aid we typically associate with players learning the very basics of the game.
But as it turns out, even the very best player in the world isn't averse to a grip tune-up. In fact, Scottie Scheffler is a bit of a grip obsessive, hitting the range at Augusta in preparation for this week's masters with his very own grip trainer in tow.
The training aid was spotted by Twitter commentator Rick Golfs during Monday's range session. "Best player in the world," he said. "On pace to be one of the best ever."
"Yet his practice obsession?
"The GRIP. The most basic fundamental in golf. He uses a standard grip trainer constantly."
We've extolled the virtues of a grip trainer plenty of times here before at GolfMagic. We also recently put together a guide on how to get the perfect golf grip with the National Golf Centre's Head Professional, Adam Keogh, who also recommends a grip trainer if you really want to turn getting the feeling of getting a perfect grip into second nature.
Grip trainers come in many different variants, from full-sized grips as used by Scheffler to simple slip-over extensions that snap on to the grip of your club.
We're big fans of the GOLF-GRIP trainer, which is affordable, portable, and works for both left and right-hand golfers.
It also fits over a range of different grip sizes and can be used at the driving range and during your warm-ups to install the right grip feel before a round. Not a bad investment for just £20.
