Steph Curry and L.A.B Golf are set to team up on a limited-edition putter
The cult putter brand are linking up with Currey's UNDERRATED Golf Tour to help provide junior golfers with more pathways into the game.
If you haven't heard of UNDERRATED Golf, it's probably about time you get up to speed.
The youth golf tour, founded by NBA superstar Steph Curry, might go down as one of the most important innovations in shaping the way golf looks and feels in the future, providing a platform for talented players from underrepresented communities and giving them pathways into the professional game.
The tour has a distinct focus on getting student-athletes from Black and Latinx communities the facilities and development they need to truly flourish in the game of golf. And while there are some high-profile names from both communities to have made it at a tour level, just 2% of golfers at all levels come from either diaspora.
Already, UNDERRATED Golf has proven a success, having staged tour events in both the US and the UK.
Now, following the announcement of partnerships with the likes of Fujikura and Golf Pride, UNDERRATED has kicked off festivities for its 2026 season by partnering with pioneering putter manufacturer L.A.B.
The deal will see the zero-torque manufacturer provide the tour's athletes with a host of expertise and equipment to help them tackle the greens with confidence.
All US-based UGT golfers will receive custom-fit L.A.B putters as part of the collaboration, as will the top four-ranked European players.
“We are thrilled to join forces with UNDERRATED Golf for the 2026 season," said L.A.B. Golf CEO Robert Johnson. “This partnership isn't just about providing these athletes with game-changing equipment; it's about fostering talent, inspiring a new generation of golfers, and elevating the game of golf as a whole.”
Perhaps the headline release to come from the partnership, however, will be a special-edition putter co-designed in collaboration with Curry himself, which will receive a limited-edition release later on in the year.
The 2026 UNDERRATED Tour kicks off on June 30 at the University of Florida's golf course in Gainesville. It'll take on a three additional US Stops, with an additional event at England's The Belfry in late May, culminating in the Curry Cup at Bethpage Black in late August.
