Jhonattan Vegas has been forced to withdraw from this week's CIMB Classic on the PGA Tour, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, due to a passport issue.

Vegas, a three-time PGA Tour winner, made the announcement on his Twitter page on Mondayg...

 

 

The Venezuelan almost missed out on playing in this year's Open Championship at Carnoustie, Scotland, due to an expired visa, but he managed to get there just 45 minutes before his opening tee time, and he even had to play with a borrowed set of clubs... so no wonder he missed the cut! 

Vegas' homeland is currently in the middle of an economic collapse, with the country's congress reporting Venezuelan consumer prices have risen 488,865% in 12 months.
