You can add Paige Spiranac to the ever-growing list of those who want to see dawdlers penalised.

Slow play in golf has once again been a hot topic of debate in recent weeks ever since Brooks Koepka complained of the brutally slow group in front of himself and Jon Rahm in the final round of the 87th Masters.

Koepka was taking aim at Patrick Cantlay. For his part, Cantlay placed the blame on everyone but himself despite his playing partner at the time Viktor Hovland appearing to send a very clear message by marching in front of the American.

A week after the brouhaha, Cantlay made a hole-in-one and decided to troll himself by saying this was how he was going to play faster.

Incriminating footage later surfaced of Cantlay, though, as he was put on the clock by a fan.

Paige didn't single Cantlay out in her latest video that she posted across her social media platforms.

According to Paige, she just wants to see golfers penalised if they fail to hit their shots within the allotted 40 seconds.

Matthew Fitzpatrick reckons nothing will be done about the problem, mind!

Paige said:

"Slow play in golf has been a huge topic of discussion so let's talk about it. The conversation picked up steam when Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka were waiting on every single hole at Augusta. Honestly, I've seen paint dry than that round was finished,
"I'm not gonna call out just one individual as I do think this is a larger problem and the rebuttal is always, 'But they're playing for majors and a lot of money  so they should take their time.
"Look at any other sport. They're not going just to extend the time because they are playing for a championship. Can you imagine if Michael Jordan was just dribbling away and they were like, 'it's okay guys, you know, this is for a championship and a whole lot of money so just give him some time!"

Paige continued:

"A golfer has 40 seconds to hit their shot and if they don't do so in the allotted time they should be penalised! Slow play is unsportsmanlike and a form of cheating. I don't understand how this is not fixed yet?! It's easy, penalise them if they don't hit it in 40 seconds."
