The Players Championship 2020: TV Schedule, Groups & UK Tee Times

This week the PGA Tour returns to TPC Sawgrass for The Players Championship, widely regarded as golf's fifth major, where Rory McIlroy is looking to become the first player ever to successfully defend the title after winning it last year.

Last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill proved to be one of the toughest tests the players have faced all year, but TPC Sawgrass is historically a nightmare for the majority of the field.

McIlroy had some fun during one of his practice rounds, where a spectator bet him $50 that the Northern Irishman would find the water. After landing his ball on the green, McIlroy - who has made just shy of $4 million in the 2020 season - decided to give the fan his money back...

The iconic 17th hole has an effect on the players like no other hole on the planet, with the 78ft wide island green surrounded by water, causing trouble year after year (just ask Phil Mickelson).
