Pro, who already has a 59, goes one better and shoots 13-under 58!

A professional golfer who has already shot a 59 has gone one better with a stunning 13-under par 58.

His name is Cooper Dossey and he plays on the All Pro Tour. The 58 was carded in the first round of the Coca Cola Dr Pepper Open.

The tournament was being held in Alexandria, in Louisiana. Dossey made seven birdies on the front nine. He made five in a row from the fifth hole.

Returning to the clubhouse, he made birdies at 10, 12, 13 and 15. He eagled the 16th and went par-par to finish out the remarkable round.

Earlier in the season he had already shot a 59. It was a pretty special moment for him as his father was on the bag, he said.

Despite his remarkable score he only had a three stroke lead after his first 18 holes. Chandler Phillips, from Hunstville, Texas, shot a 10-under.

Dossey, 24, told the All Pro Tour: "I was hitting it close all day. I was really impressed with how well the golf course dried up - the greens rolled really well and being able to play lift, clean and place helped a lot. There's still a lot more golf to play".

Talk about being humble, then. This tournament is the highest purse and the largest field on the APT schedule.

In total, it has a $175,000 purse with $33,000 of that going to the winner. They are playing at Oak Wing Golf Club at Links.

Congratulations to Dossey. Here's to perhaps going one lower?!
