Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson took to social media to congratulate the United States Women's football team on their World Cup victory following a 2-0 win over the Netherlands.
Woods wrote on Twitter:

Mickelson was also locked to his TV screen during the action in France:
So excited and inspired by USWNT World Cup victory! Congrats on your incredible performance! Go USA— Phil Mickelson (@PhilMickelson) July 7, 2019
The 15-time major champion has not played a competitive tournament since finishing tied 21st at the US Open last month, and despite having never played at Royal Portrush before, will attempt to win his fourth Open Championship next week.
Woods finished tied sixth at last year's Open but led the tournament with nine holes to play only to see his playing partner Francesco Molinari go on to lift the Claret Jug for the first time in his career.
