Golf clubs in Wales to shut down from October 23 until November 9
Golf clubs will shut down in Wales from Friday October 23 to Monday November 9 as the country goes in to a "short, sharp" lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
First Minister Mark Drakeford announced a circuit-breaker lockdown on Monday that will take place from this Friday.
The lockdown will apply to everyone living in Wales and will supersede all local restrictions currently in place.
"Golf and tennis clubs will be required to close during the period of the lockdown," said the Welsh Government.
The clear stay at home message means that all non-essential retail and leisure are to close during this lockdown period.

The Welsh Government added: "Your exercise should start and finish from your home and you should exercise alone or with a member of your household."
Most children will continue to attend schol after the one-week half term break, but children will not be allowed to attend their local sporting activities out of school. Neither will they be allowed to play with their friends.
The new lockdown in Wales has been made necessary in order to help the NHS tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the BBC, a UK government scheme that will cover 67% of the wages of workers at firms forced to close, due to start on November 1, will not be brought forward to cover the Welsh lockdown.
The majority of golf clubs across the rest of the UK remain open.
