Patrick Reed was contending for the lead midway through the second round of the Scottish Open at Gullane. That was before he got trapped at the par-3 12th.
Reed found the greenside bunker and then proceeded to take three swipes before escaping en route to a double-bogey five. Watch the video below...
The American went on to shoot a 1-under 69 but lies on the cusp of the top 20 heading into the weekend.
