LIV Golf Singapore: Everything you need to know

LIV Golf is embarking on its first back-to-back tournaments of 2023 as they head straight from Australia to LIV Golf Singapore this week at Sentosa Golf Club.

As per usual, LIV Golf Singapore will be a three-day tournament played from Friday to Sunday with 48 players across 54 holes

The total purse for the tournament is $25m with $20m making up the individual purse and the leftover $5m for the top three teams.

The winner of the individual leaderboard will win $4m, while runner-up will take home $2.125m and third place will earn $1.5m.

The top team will split $3m amongst the four teammates, while $1.5m goes to the second-best team and $500,000 goes to third.

LIV Golf's first Singapore event will be played at the Serapong at Sentosa Golf Club. It's a 7,406-yard par 71 course located on Sentosa Island.

Players will tee off Friday at 10:15 a.m. local time in a typical LIV Golf shotgun start.

Leaders heading into this week are the 4 Aces GC in the team standings and 4 Aces's player Peter Uihlein on the invdividual standings.

Talor Gooch is the series' most recent winner after he clinched his maiden LIV Golf victory by three strokes over Anirban Lahiri last Sunday in Australia for LIV Golf Adelaide.

Storylines:

Last week in Adelaide, Talor Gooch shot back-to-back rounds of 62 at The Grange GC for a 36-hole score of 20-under par for a 10-stroke lead. It was the lowest score by a LIV Golf player after two rounds and the largest lead in a LIV Golf tournament after 36 holes.

Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces GC continue to prove that they're the most dominate of the LIV Golf teams, with their fourth straight top-3 finish at LIV Golf Adelaide. It was also their first time topping the team leaderboard so far this season.

The 4 Aces GC have a 44 point lead in the LIV Golf team standings with 96 points after four tournaments. Torque and Stinger GC are second and third with 52 points, each.

Peter Uihlein leads the individual LIV Golf standings by eight strokes over Charles Howell III. Talor Gooch and Carlos Ortiz are third and fourth with 52 points, each.

Six players are yet to earn a single point this season, including Sihwan Kim, who, out of players completing 54 holes, has finished last in all four tournaments so far.

Laurie Canter, who has become a LIV Golf super-sub after playing most of the season in place of Martin Kaymer, is back again for LIV Golf Singapore. This time, he's replacing Sam Horsfield on the Majesticks GC.

Despite being a sub this year, Canter has still earned enough points to place him 37th in standings of the 48-player league.
