Joaquin 'Joaco' Niemann is a professional golfer from Chile.
He was born on 7 November 1998, and turned professional in 2018.
Niemann began playing golf at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the best ranked amateurs in the world.
He held the No.1 spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 44 weeks from May 2017 to April 2018.
Niemann has played on several professional tours, including the Web.com Tour, the PGA Tour Latinoamerica, and the PGA Tour.
The golfer decided to join the LIV Golf League in 2022. He is now the team captain of Torque GC.
That side comprises of Mito Pereira, Sebastian Munoz and David Puig.
Niemann has had considerable success on these tours, winning multiple events and earning a reputation as a talented young golfer with a bright future.
In 2019, Niemann captured his first PGA Tour victory at The Greenbrier Classic, becoming the first player from Chile to win on the PGA Tour.
Niemann captured the Genesis Invitational in 2022, which is a PGA Tour event hosted by Tiger Woods.
