Dustin Johnson Biography
Dustin Johnson is an American professional golfer who currently plays in the LIV Golf League.
Nicknamed 'DJ', Johnson was born 22 June 1984 in Columbia, South Carolina to Kandee and Scott Johnson.
He has two siblings, Laurie Johnson and Austin Johnson.
Austin Johnson also caddies for his brother and has done so since 2013. DJ had a brief stint with Tiger Woods' caddie Joe LaCava.
Johnson turned professional in 2007 and immediately earned his playing rights for the following PGA Tour season.
He won his maiden event on the North American circuit in October 2008 at the Turning Stone Resort Championship.
To date, Johnson has won 24 PGA Tour events, including nine on the European Tour.
His victory at Oakmont was shrouded in controversy as he was given a one-shot penalty after his final round had finished.
On the fifth green, his golf ball appeared to move when he addressed his putt.
Johnson ended up winning by three strokes.
Johnson announced his resignation from the PGA Tour on 7 June before the inaugural event of the LIV Golf Invitational Series at Centurion Club just outside of London.
Johnson claimed his maiden LIV Golf victory at their invitational in Boston, draining a mammoth eagle putt in a three-way playoff against Anirban Lahiri and Joaquin Niemann.

His reported signing-on fee with the circuit was somewhere in the region of $125m.

DJ got engaged to Paulina Gretzky in 2013. They met in 2009.
Paulina, a model and singer, is the daughter of Canadian ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
The couple got married in a lavish ceremony at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee in 2022.
The couple have two sons. They are called River Jones Johnson and Tatum Gretzky Johnson.
